Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for removing unwanted hair permanently. A thin probe is inserted into an individual follicle followed by a current of electricity and epilation of hair. The current destroys the hair root and follicle damage prevents hair from growing back. The skin where probe enters may feel temporarily hot or like a pinch. Hair production cycle is a constant process of growth, rest, and replacement. Hair can only be permanently removed while in the active growth cycle. Electrolysis is the best option when hair is grey/white or lacking pigment and is safe for most areas if the body.
